From mid June to mid September, the moths that live in this deep valley of the inland of Rhodes, cover each plant and each tree, forming an undulating carpet of brown and cream colours. They are attracted by the golden resin of the trees. It’s a cool and lovely place that attracts tourists and walkers. I would advise you to go there in the early hours of the morning, before the arrival of the buses full of tourists. You can also take a pleasant walk along the valley until the monastery Panagias Kalopetras, a church from 1782 that is worth a break to relax and enjoy the view.
